Jason Lemley Voted Teacher of the Year
Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Jason Lemley, a Language Arts teacher in the Freshmen Academy, has been selected by the Faculty of LCHS as the 2011 Teacher of the Year for our school.  The Teacher of the Year is selected a year in advance due to the many papers the honoree has to write and the many levels of competition involved such as District, State, and National.

Mr. Lemley is a Distinguished Alumni of our fine institution having graduated with the Class of 2003 as an Honor Graduate. He went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree at UGA (Go Dawgs!) and is currently finishing up his Master's Degree at NGCSU (Go Saints!).

Jason is involved in a plethora of activities at the school including sponsoring the Key Club and leading our Relay for Life Team.  As a dedicated educator, however, the preponderance of his efforts always go first and foremost to the students of our school.  He has put in many long hours helping our freshmen improve their performance and is an outstanding mentor to those in need.

The Administration, Faculty, and Staff all want to extend a hearty congratulations to Jason and wish him continued future success here at LCHS (Go Indians!).
